Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair 2019

Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair 2019 The Fair was held in Asia World Expo during 27 – 30 April 2019 organized by HKTDC and CIEC. Altogether there were 480+ exhibitors mostly from Hong Kong and Mainland China. It was my first time visiting the printing & packaging fair. I was amazed by the different varieties, vibrant color printing & packaging items from each exhibitor. The Fair divided into sections of prestigious & deluxe goods, fashion & accessories, labels and tags, plastic vinyl sheets, etc. In one booth, they promoted stone paper, an eco-friendly packaging material and effective water resistant paper. Besides touring along the booths, I also attended seminar on “New Development and Application of Wide Gamut Color Printing”. They talked about multicolor workflow, cost comparison of expanded and extended gamut printing. Though I am not familiar in this field, yet I could see the industry was very keen on finding solution for cost savings and efficiency in printing. Thanks to Brenda who was our team lead to the Fair. She answered some of our questions and addressed our queries to the exhibitors as well. Printing and packaging exists in every part of our daily life but as an ordinary individual we may not noticed it or aware of bits and pieces of work behind it. This visit truly broadens my knowledge in printing & packaging.

2019年香港國際印刷及包裝展覽會於2019年4月27日至30日在香港貿發局及中國國際展覽中心舉辦的亞洲國際博覽會上舉行。共有480多家參展商，大部分來自香港和中國大陸。這是我第一次參觀印刷和包裝展。我對每個參展商的不同品種，鮮豔的彩色印刷和包裝物品感到驚訝。展覽會分為久負盛名的奢侈品，時裝及配飾，標籤和標籤，塑料乙烯基板等。在一個展位上，他們推廣了石頭紙，環保包裝材料和有效的防水紙。除了參觀展位外，我還參加了“寬色域彩色印刷的新開發和應用”研討會。他們談到了多色工作流程，擴展和擴展色域打印的成本比較。雖然我對這個領域並不熟悉，但我可以看到該行業非常熱衷於尋找節省成本和打印效率的解決方案。感謝Brenda是我們團隊的領導者。她回答了我們的一些問題，並向參展商提出了質疑。印刷和包裝存在於我們日常生活的每個部分，但作為一個普通的個體，我們可能沒有註意到它或意識到它背後的工作點點滴滴。這次訪問真正拓寬了我在印刷和包裝方面的知識。
