Groupe SEB IFU Project

This is our first IFU project (Information For User) working with Groupe SEB. The major work is to update the product on about 60 pictograms (icon) from old to new design. Since we have never worked on a IFU before, in order to ensure we understood the brief correctly, we went to client office to discuss the brief face to face, then explained the project details to production team as clear as we could. Artworkers were discussing how to convert a 3D stp file to line drawing format. For some of the pictograms, we have to create the hand motion on our own. First of all, we took an image on a real hand, pretended to hold a similar shape of things, then convert it to line drawing by illustrator. In the cooperation of 4 artworkers (2 from SEB team and 2 helpers from other team), we were able to complete this challenging task in 5 working days and client was satisfied with the outcome as well as amazed with we can finish the project in a short period of time. 我們第一次跟Groupe SEB合作的產品說明書項目。主要的工作是更新約60個線圖內出現的產品。由於我們跟客戶沒有製作說明書的相關經驗, 為了能完全了解是次項目的要求, 我們與客人進行了一次會面, 逐一了解項目內的每一個細節, 之後再詳細說明給參與製作的同事。Artworkers在討論如何將一個3D檔案轉換成線圖檔案。某些小圖, 我們需要自行繪畫出手的形態。首先, 同事會手握一個類似形狀的東西拍一張照片, 繼而轉換成線圖。在四位artworkers的通力合作下, 我們在短短五天內完成了這個艱巨的項目。無論在時間上或品質上, 客人均表示十分滿意。
